Service Description
Parenting doesn't come with a manual—but you don't have to navigate it alone. Our Parent & Caregiver Workshop Series is a monthly program designed to provide practical tools, expert guidance, and a supportive community for the adults raising and caring for children. Led by experienced professionals from Functional Kids Pediatric Therapy, each workshop explores a different child development topic through engaging presentations, real-life examples, and hands-on demonstrations. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, educator, or caregiver, you'll leave feeling more confident with practical strategies you can begin using right away. July Workshop: Understanding Sensory Processing: Making Sense of Everyday Challenges Join pediatric Occupational Therapist Alex Neukirch as we explore how a child's sensory systems influence behavior, attention, emotions, and participation in everyday activities. Learn how to better understand your child's unique sensory needs and discover simple, effective strategies to support regulation, learning, and success at home and in the community. Workshop Details Date: Tuesday, July 21 Time: 6:00–7:00 PM Location: The Sensory Studio, Sioux Falls Cost: Free Virtual attendance available Please Note: This workshop is for parents, caregivers, educators, and other adults only. Cancellation Policy
Cost & Payment: The cost of the class or group may vary. Payment is expected up front, if you need an alternative payment plan please reach out to us directly. Waiver Requirement: A completed waiver must be on file for each child before attending the class or group. Cancellation & Unenrollment: If you need to un-enroll your child, please contact us at least 72 hours before the first date of the group in order to receive a refund. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed days due to illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts. If the Sensory Studio must cancel a group, families will receive a full refund or studio credit. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to an exciting summer at The Sensory Studio!
