Kitchen Explorers: Sensory Explorers Stir, scoop, pour, mix, and explore! Kitchen Explorers is a hands-on sensory class where young children discover the fun of cooking while building important developmental skills through play. Led by an experienced Occupational Therapist from Functional Kids Pediatric Therapy, this engaging class introduces children to a variety of ingredients, textures, smells, and simple food preparation activities in a safe, supportive environment. Through purposeful sensory experiences, children strengthen confidence while practicing skills they'll use every day. Parents and caregivers participate alongside their child, learning simple strategies they can continue at home while enjoying quality time together. In This Class, Children Will: Explore a variety of sensory-rich ingredients and textures Practice pouring, scooping, stirring, whisking, and mixing Build fine motor strength and coordination Increase independence through simple cooking tasks Develop confidence trying new experiences Support sensory processing through hands-on exploration Class Details Date: Monday, July 13 Time: 11:00am-12:00pm Ages: 2–6 years Cost: $25 per child ✨ Bonus! Registration includes FREE Open Studio Play from 10:00 AM–11:00 AM, giving families extra time to explore and play Before class. Kitchen Explorers is the first class in our three-week Sensory Explorers series, presented in partnership with Functional Kids Pediatric Therapy and The Sensory Studio. Join us as we play, learn, and grow together through meaningful sensory experiences designed to support every child's development.
Cancellation Policy
Cost & Payment: The cost of the class or group may vary. Payment is expected up front, if you need an alternative payment plan please reach out to us directly. Waiver Requirement: A completed waiver must be on file for each child before attending the class or group. Cancellation & Unenrollment: If you need to un-enroll your child, please contact us at least 72 hours before the first date of the group in order to receive a refund. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed days due to illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts. If the Sensory Studio must cancel a group, families will receive a full refund or studio credit. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to an exciting summer at The Sensory Studio!
